Antique Window and Cupboard Door Upcycle

Wow, did you read my blog post title.

I really couldn't figure out what to call it so here is my Antique Window and Cupboard Door Upcycle!

Let's talk the Cupboard Door Upcycle.

Over the summer I was garage saleing and I found two medium sized cupboard doors for sale. I mean, talk about lucky find. There were no holes from where the hinges or knobs would be so that sealed the deal for me (plus they were only $3.00, score!)

Now when I bought them, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with them. Finally, I thought it would be nice to paint one and then attach a family picture to it.

Here is the finished product!

I basically painted the maple door a bunch of different tones of cream, used some antique agent with the paint, sanded and stained that baby.

For the picture, all I did was print out a picture from my computer (on regular paper) sprayed it with clear spray paint so it wouldn't smudge when I distressed it. Used mod podge on the back to glue it on, then sanded the edges and stained it.

I really love how it turned out!

Remember this post?

The really sad antique window that I picked up from Good Will. Well here is what I did with it.

After I made my cupboard picture I framed it with my antique window (who will probably get a make over come spring and I can spray paint!)

I attached some linen fabric to the back of the door using hot glue to hang up the picture.

Over all I love it! It is not your normal frame!

Keep checking back to see what I did with the other door!
