Dried Oranges

I have a new decorating love.

I saw it in my Country Sampler magazine and I knew that I just had to try it out.

I must say that I love them!

They give such a vintage feel.

Let me show you!

You can use them to spruce up some garland!

Or add them to household items with some ribbon and a hot glue gun!

They are so beautiful and last for a long time!

Want to make some of your own?

It is super simple!

Cut your oranges into about 1/4 inch slices.

Blot excess juice from the oranges using paper towels.

Heat your oven to about 200 degrees.

Put the oranges on cookie sheets.

Dry them in the oven for 5-6 hours turning every hour so there is equal drying.

Beware, your house will be filled with the sweet aroma of oranges!

Hope you are inspired by this and happy drying!

  2. Cool... I really like the look of those too! How fun would they be to do an all natural food theme for the Christmas tree!
