Good Afternoon and Happy Saturday!
My morning was filled with running errands, walking the dog, cooking lunch, etc. but I did take some time to do some crafting.
Now there are many who have done this project, I am not claiming to be an original but a lot of the inspiration came from Megan at A Little Knick Knack.
I found this box at Good Will for $1.49 and I couldn't resist trying out the project.
Simple and I love that no one wrote on it or stuck stickers on it so all I had to do was sand down some ruff edges and prime it then spray paint it.
I found some wood embelishments at Micheals (thanks for the tip Megan) and used wood glue to attach it. Then spray painted it and then sanded it to distress it.
I have never done distressing with a wood stain so I figured that this project was the right one to try it out on. I purchased my wood stain at Walmart and used a sponge brush and stained and wiped until I got my desired look.
I am in love with distressing with a wood stain! I love it and I think it made the project!
Fabulous!
Now it sits above our DVD's and stores our remotes for us!
