Problem Solved

Happy Wednesday Blog World!

I hope that everyone is taking advantage of all three entries for the wallet giveaway! Remember that I need to reach 50 followers before someone will get one of these beauties. Who knows, if it happens soon maybe I will be generous and give away two.....

Onto the craft of the day!

We have one major problem at our house. Well actually we have a lot of problems but this project only solves one of them. You know when you get out of the shower, dry off, put on your robe and go into your bedroom to get dressed and you have no place to put your robe but here?:

Not the prettiest sight when you walk into our room. I love our head board (we got it for a steal of $125.00 at a consignment store!) and do not want it covered with our robes!

So I set out to make something to solve this problem. I found these fabulous knobs at Micheal's for $1.00. They have many different styles but I liked the ones with pictures and no words. So I scooped a bunch up with the hopes that I would use them for something. (Caution: they aren't heavy duty so if you twist to hard the glue will come undone and they will just slide on and off.)

Then I went to my wood pile and pulled a piece that was left over from this project and sanded it and spray painted it. Then when it was dry I distressed it and drilled holes for my fabulous knobs.

I then glued a spray painted emblem on it that was from this project and covered up a mistake that I had made in the middle.

When it was all done and hung up this is what I got:

A fabulous his and hers robe rack!

Now my bedroom looks like this:

And I love it!

Super easy and fast just the way I like it!

(Please note that this is the good looking side of the room, my side, I haven't even tackled the other side!)

Please check out the link parties that I join for Wednesday!

P.S. I bought the command strips to hang this up and did NOT like them. Does anyone else feel the same? It is worth is to me to put holes in the walls then deal with those thingies!

  1. That's so much better than hanging on the headboard. THe knobs are so cute. Thanks for sharing at We're Organized Wednesday.
