Revamped Bookshelf

Hello All!

Happy Thursday!

I am slowly finishing up the boy's room so I thought I would reveal a nifty project that I did for their room.

It starts with this piece of furniture that I found at a local thrift store:

Purchased for $5.00 and exactly what I wanted for my project.

After priming, painting and installing dowel rods on the bottom part this is what I got:

A fabulous bookshelf for the boy's room!

I love the dowel rod affect! You can just slide the books down and they are put away! I would have, however, made less of a slope so that more books could fit.

I thought about taking off the arch in front of the top shelf but there was no guarantee that it wouldn't have completely broke so I made it work and I like it for the board books anyways!

Check out my side bar for link parties I join!
