More Fall Decor

Good evening fellow readers!

I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend and is ready for the week to start. I know that I had a good weekend but in regards to the week ahead, ehh....

I am so sorry in the lack of blogging. I looked at the last post's date and thought "Thursday!?" Where did the week go? Time is just flying by (side note, my bitty baby will be 1 in November!! Agh!!).

Tonight I have something pretty simple to show you. I am so excited about the decorations that I am coming up with this year. To tell you the truth, my Fall decor has been a bit lame over the years, just knick knacks that I have picked up at the Thrift Stores.

But there is a deep satisfaction that comes from making and creating your own pieces!

The beginning of this journey starts with these:
You should have seen the look on my husbands face when I picked up these really green GREEN candle holder thingies. He was like "What are you going to do with those?" I had to gently reassure him that I had big plans for these and one of the included priming them. So that is what I did. I then spray painted them white a couple of times until you could no longer see the yucky green.
I then set them aside not quite sure what I was going to do with them.

While wreath shopping I came across these candles for $1.00 and $2.00 and I picked them up hoping to use them for some fall decor.
The price was right and I knew I could use some of my wreath stuff to fancy them up so I gave it a shot!
Once they were done I had them sitting on my bookcase of DVD's just plain ole' candles and I got this amazing revelation that I should add my newly painted white candle thingies!

So in the end this is what I got
A little fall festivities!
I love the height that the holders give the candles!

PS Check out all of the link parties that I am joining today!

  1. Amy---I love this! I recognize some of that ribbon, too. The candlesticks have great lines! I would have taken them home, too!
